USAUS Military contracts for FY12

NAVY

New Cin­gu­lar Wire­less Ser­vices, Inc., doing busi­ness as AT&T Mobil­i­ty, Hanover, Md., (N00244-12-D-0014); Sprint Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Co., L.P., doing busi­ness as Sprint, Reston, Va. (N00244-12-D-0015); and Cell­co Part­ner­ship, doing busi­ness as Ver­i­zon Wire­less, Bask­ing Ridge, N.J. (N00244-12-D-0016), are each being award­ed an indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty, mul­ti­ple award con­tract for domes­tic and inter­na­tion­al wire­less ser­vices, as well as data plans and devices. The max­i­mum dol­lar val­ue for the pro­gram, includ­ing one 12-month base peri­od and four 12-month option peri­ods for all three con­tracts com­bined, is $750,000,000. Fund­ing will be pro­vid­ed at the task order lev­el. These three con­trac­tors will com­pete for the task orders under the terms and con­di­tions of the award­ed con­tract. This is an ongo­ing require­ment and the loca­tions of ser­vice will vary depend­ing upon the loca­tion infor­ma­tion as pro­vid­ed on the indi­vid­ual task orders. Work will be per­formed in Cal­i­for­nia (21.5 per­cent); Vir­ginia (20 per­cent); Wash­ing­ton, D.C. (15.5 per­cent); Wash­ing­ton (10 per­cent); and var­i­ous loca­tions inside and out­side the con­ti­nen­tal Unit­ed States (33 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed May 2013. If all options are exer­cised, work will con­tin­ue through May 2017. The require­ment was award­ed through full and open com­pe­ti­tion and solicit­ed through the Navy Elec­tron­ic Com­merce Online and Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­sites, with four offers received. NAVMAR Applied Sci­ences Corp.*, Warmin­ster, Pa., is being award­ed a $12,499,940 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a pre­vi­ous­ly issued basic order­ing agree­ment (N68335-10-G-0026) for a Phase III B Small Busi­ness Inno­va­tion Research project under top­ics N92-170 and N94-178 enti­tled, respec­tive­ly, “Laser Radar (LADAR) Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Demon­stra­tion” and “Air Deploy­able Mul­ti-Para­me­ter Envi­ron­men­tal Probe.” This order pro­vides for the assess­ment and deploy­ment of inno­v­a­tive intel­li­gence, sur­veil­lance, and recon­nais­sance (IS&R), and com­mu­ni­ca­tion sys­tems that when com­bined will extend the range and per­for­mance of IS&R capa­bil­i­ties of the Per­sis­tent Ground Sur­veil­lance Sys­tem Phase IIIB. It also pro­vides for the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and pro­cure­ment of com­mer­cial-off-the-shelf equip­ment that enhances these same capa­bil­i­ties. Work will be per­formed in Patux­ent Riv­er, Md. (70 per­cent); Yuma, Ariz. (25 per­cent); and Afghanistan (5 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in April 2014. Siko­rsky Air­craft Corp., Strat­ford, Conn., is being award­ed a $7,808,818 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-award-fee con­tract (N00019-06-C-0081) to incor­po­rate live fire test and eval­u­a­tion efforts in sup­port of the CH-53K Heli­copter Pro­gram. Work will be per­formed at Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Weapons Divi­sion, Chi­na Lake, Calif. (80 per­cent), and Strat­ford, Conn. (20 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Decem­ber 2018. AIR FORCE

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Space Sys­tem Co., New­town, Pa., is being award­ed a $67,961,418 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract to pro­vide on-orbit oper­a­tions engi­neer­ing sup­port research and devel­op­ment of GPS III space vehi­cles One and Two. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is New­town, Pa. Work is to be com­plet­ed by May 17, 2014.
