Environmental Chemical Corp., Marlborough, Mass., is being awarded a $38,428,200 firm-fixed-price contract for energy and building renovation to the West End Waterfront Support Facility, Building 174 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The overall intent of the project is to demolish the interior of the facility, in a phased approach, that will leave the structural elements, exterior walls, and roof in place, with all remaining elements replaced in total. Work will be performed in Kittery, Maine, and is expected to be completed by December 2014. Contract funds in the amount of $38,428,200 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with nine proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic Northeast Integrated Product Team, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N40085-12-C-1727).
General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Co., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $29,238,918 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-12-C-2400) for the post shakedown availability of USS San Diego (LPD 22) and the fitting-out availability of USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Specific efforts include program management, planning, engineering, design, liaison, scheduling, labor, and procurement of incidental material in support of the post shakedown availability and fitting-out availability. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. and is expected to be completed by December 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY
GEM Companies, Inc., doing business as GEM Network Solutions, Denver, Colo., was awarded on March 15 a firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a ceiling of $24,400,000 for the Defense Information Systems Agency/Enterprise Services Directorate facilities engineering support services. The period of performance is a base period of April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013 with four one-year options. The first delivery order obligating the minimum in the amount of $2,257,200 will be issued with the award. Performance will be at Defense Enterprise Computing Center locations in and outside the United States. The original solicitation was issued as a competitive small business set-aside and posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website. A total of four proposals were received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization/PL8324, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the contracting activity (HC1028-12-D-0004).
