TRICARE MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY

Unit­ed­Health Mil­i­tary & Vet­er­ans Ser­vices, Min­neton­ka, Minn., is being award­ed a con­tract that is pri­mar­i­ly cost-plus-fixed-fee to pro­vide man­aged care sup­port to the Depart­ment of Defense TRICARE Pro­gram. The work to be per­formed includes man­age­ment of provider net­works and refer­rals, med­ical man­age­ment, enroll­ment, claims pro­cess­ing, cus­tomer ser­vice and access to data, among oth­er require­ments, while pro­vid­ing ben­e­fi­cia­ry sat­is­fac­tion at the high­est lev­el pos­si­ble through the deliv­ery of world-class health care. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured using the best val­ue source selec­tion process with two ini­tial offers received. The Boe­ing Co., Mesa, Ariz., was award­ed an $187,041,395 cost-plus-incen­tive-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the devel­op­ment, inte­gra­tion and test­ing require­ments on the Apache Block III Pro­gram. NAVY

Sauer, Inc., Jack­sonville, Fla., is being award­ed $31,351,700 for firm-fixed-price task order 0007 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N69450-09-D-1277) for con­struc­tion of a secu­ri­ty enclave and vehi­cle bar­ri­er at Naval Sub­ma­rine Sta­tion, Kings Bay. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for con­struc­tion of the north­ern Enclave Fenc­ing Sys­tem (EFS), includ­ing entry con­trol facil­i­ties, a patrol road, and a vehi­cle bar­ri­er sys­tem along the entire length of the EFS, which con­sists of mod­i­fied nor­mandy bar­ri­ers and bol­lards. This con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion will pro­vide for the con­tin­ued engi­neer­ing, fab­ri­ca­tion, test, instal­la­tion, and train­ing ser­vices for the analy­sis, design and, pro­to­typ­ing of com­po­nents relat­ed to open archi­tec­ture con­cepts. This effort is for Phase III of Small Busi­ness Inno­v­a­tive Research (SBIR), top­ic num­ber N01-150, “Open Archi­tec­ture Con­cepts.” These ser­vices will be ren­dered as need­ed to sup­port the Navy’s ini­tia­tive for an improved capa­bil­i­ty for both lega­cy and future vari­ants of Navy sys­tems in com­pli­ance with evolv­ing FORCEnet and Glob­al Infor­ma­tion Grid require­ments. Work will be per­formed in Mid­dle­town, Md., and is expect­ed to com­plete by March 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

BAE Sys­tems, Land & Arma­ments, L.P., U.S. Com­bat Sys­tems, Min­neapo­lis, Minn., is being award­ed a $14,291,538 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-12-C-5311) for fis­cal 2012 engi­neer­ing ser­vices and asso­ci­at­ed oth­er direct costs for the Advanced Gun Sys­tem (AGS) for DDG 1002. The engi­neer­ing ser­vices for the AGS will include sup­port of man­age­ment, engi­neer­ing, inte­gra­tion, and logis­tics activ­i­ties. The man­age­ment and engi­neer­ing sup­port will pro­vide sys­tem engi­neer­ing, spe­cial­ty engi­neer­ing, and soft­ware man­age­ment sup­port for AGS. Inte­gra­tion sup­port will pro­vide sup­port of ship instal­la­tion and plan­ning activ­i­ties. Logis­tics sup­port will include activ­i­ties sup­port­ing AGS sup­port­a­bil­i­ty, tech­ni­cal doc­u­men­ta­tion, and train­ing. Work will be per­formed in Min­neapo­lis, Minn. (70 per­cent), and Louisville, Ky. (30 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by March 2014. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton D.C, is the con­tract­ing activity. 

BAE Sys­tems San Fran­cis­co Ship Repair, San Fran­cis­co, Calif., is being award­ed a $12,257,163 firm-fixed-price con­tract for a 55-cal­en­dar day reg­u­lar over­haul and dry-dock­ing of Mil­i­tary Sealift Command’s dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Alan Shep­ard. Some of the major work items include dry-dock­ing and undock­ing the ship, repair­ing inte­ri­or decks, struc­tur­al repairs, over­haul­ing the main diesel gen­er­a­tors, and inspect­ing and refur­bish­ing the pro­peller shaft and stern tube. The ship’s pri­ma­ry mis­sion is to pro­vide fuel, ammu­ni­tion, and dry and refrig­er­at­ed stores to sup­port Navy ships at sea, enabling them to remain under­way for extend­ed peri­ods. This con­tract includes options, which, if exer­cised, would bring the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to $14,321,064. Work will be per­formed in San Fran­cis­co, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by May 28. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured, with one offer received. The U.S. Navy’s Mil­i­tary Sealift Fleet Sup­port Com­mand, Nor­folk, Va., a field activ­i­ty of Mil­i­tary Sealift Com­mand, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N40442-12-C-3011).

Hon­ey­well Tech­nol­o­gy Solu­tions, Inc., Jack­sonville, Fla., is being award­ed a not-to-exceed $9,487,591 cost-plus-fixed-fee task order 0060 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67004-09-D-0020) for oper­a­tions sup­port­ing the Camp Leath­er­neck ret­ro­grade. Work will be per­formed with­in Afghanistan and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. U.S. Marine Corps, Blount Island Com­mand, Jack­sonville, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activity.
