USAUS Military contracts for FY11

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

I‑Solutions Direct, Inc. (Met­als USA), Ft. Wash­ing­ton, Pa. is being award­ed a max­i­mum $230,100,000 fixed price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, prime ven­dor con­tract for met­als. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and fed­er­al civil­ian agen­cies. The orig­i­nal pro­pos­al was Web solicit­ed with three respons­es. This con­tract is exer­cis­ing the first option year peri­od. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Feb­ru­ary 12, 2012. The con­tract­ing activ­i­ty is the Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa. (SPM8EG-09-D-0001).

ARMY

Kongs­berg Defence, Kongs­berg, Nor­way, was award­ed a $120,404,771 firm-fixed-price time-and-mate­ri­als con­tract Feb. 9, 2011. The award will increase the max­i­mum quan­ti­ty of com­mon remote­ly oer­a­tion weapon sta­tions from 10,349 units to 11,690 units. Work will be per­formed in John­stown, Penn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Aug. 21, 2012. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net, with three bids received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Picatin­ny Arse­nal, N.J., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W15QKN-07-D-0018).

The Boe­ing Com­pa­ny, Saint Louis, Mo., was award­ed a $38,208,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract Feb. 9, 2011. The award will pro­vide work direc­tives for up to 200,000 labor hours of sys­tems engi­neer­ing sup­port and field ser­vice rep­re­sen­ta­tives for the Ear­ly-Infantry Brigade Com­bat Team Low Rate Ini­tial Pro­duc­tion con­tract. Work will be per­formed in Saint Louis, Mo., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 31, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-09-C-0452).

Olgo­onik Logis­tics, LLC, Anchor­age, Alas­ka, was award­ed a $42,996,801 firm-fixed-price require­ments-with-options con­tract Feb. 9, 2011. The award will pro­vide for, at least, 840 Ford Ever­est vehi­cles, and one lot of con­trac­tor fur­nished spare parts along with trans­la­tion of man­u­als and sup­ple­men­tal man­u­als. Work will be per­formed in Laem Cha­bang, Thai­land; and Amphur Sriracha, Chon­buri, Thai­land; with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Jan. 31, 2014. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net with 12 bids received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-11-D-G059).

BAE Systems/Ordnance Sys­tems, Inc., Kingsport, Tenn., was award­ed a $15,861,020 firm-fixed-price con­tract Feb. 9, 2011. The award will pro­vide for the mod­ern­iza­tion of the Research Devel­op­ment eXplo­sive waste water facil­i­ty to meet envi­ron­men­tal dis­charge reg­u­la­tions as required by Ten­nessee Depart­ment of Envi­ron­men­tal Con­ser­va­tion. Work will be per­formed in Kingsport, Tenn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 29, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Rock Island, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (DAAA09-98-E-0006).

Helix Elec­tric – Con­struc­tors and Engi­neers, San Diego, Calif., was award­ed a $13,478,700 firm-fixed-price con­tract Feb. 9, 2011. The award will pro­vide for sig­nif­i­cant elec­tri­cal sys­tem upgrades to the San Fran­cis­co Vet­er­an Affairs Med­ical Cen­ter. Work will be per­formed in San Fran­cis­co, Calif., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Sep. 27, 2013. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net with five bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Con­tract­ing Divi­sion, San Fran­cis­co, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912P7-11-C-0007).

Amer­i­can Ord­nance, LLC, Mid­dle­town, Iowa, was award­ed a $6,617,242 cost-plus-fixed-fee ser­vices con­tract Feb. 9, 2011. The award will pro­vide for the upgrade of the elec­tri­cal dis­tri­b­u­tion sys­tems at the Iowa Army Ammu­ni­tion Plant. Work will be per­formed in Mid­dle­town, Iowa, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Jan. 31, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Rock Island, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W52P1J-09-G-0001).

NAVY

CACI Tech­nolo­gies, Inc., Chan­til­ly, Va., is being award­ed a $24,162,560 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N63394-04-D-1262) for sys­tems engi­neer­ing ser­vices in sup­port of inte­grat­ed ship self defense. This pro­cure­ment is to pro­vide pro­fes­sion­al engi­neer­ing, tech­ni­cal, train­ing, soft­ware, project ser­vice, logis­tics ser­vices, fleet mod­ern­iza­tion, inter­nal com­mu­ni­ca­tion sys­tems, com­bat sys­tem switch­board and oth­er in-ser­vice engi­neer­ing agent prod­ucts nec­es­sary to sup­port the Ship Self Defense Sys­tem of the Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Port Huen­eme Divi­sion, Port Huen­eme, Calif. Ser­vices will be required at shore sites, land-based test facil­i­ties, ship­yards, and aboard ships in port and at sea. Work will be per­formed in Port Huen­eme, Calif. (35 per­cent); Wal­lops Island, Va. (15 per­cent); Crys­tal City, Va. (10 per­cent); Bre­mer­ton, Wash. (10 per­cent); Nor­folk, Va. (5 per­cent); San Diego, Calif. (5 per­cent); Lit­tle Creek, Va. (5 per­cent); Pearl Har­bor, Hawaii. (5 per­cent); May­port, Fla. (5 per­cent); Yoko­su­ka, Japan (5 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Feb­ru­ary 2012. Con­tract funds in the amount of $1,555,455 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Port Huen­eme Divi­sion, Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Port Huen­eme, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

BAE Sys­tems Tech­nol­o­gy Solu­tions & Ser­vices Inc. of Rockville, Md. was award­ed a $15,713,984 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion to exer­cise the Lot 17 option to pro­cure a quan­ti­ty of 9‑QF‑4 full scale aer­i­al tar­gets. At this time, $15,713,984 has been oblig­at­ed. AAC/EBYK at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty. (FA8675-04-C-0214, P00073
