USAUS Military contracts for FY10

NAVY

Austal USA, Mobile, Ala., is being award­ed a $204,652,897 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-08-C-2217) for the exer­cise of con­struc­tion options for ships four and five of the Joint High Speed Ves­sel (JHSV) pro­gram. The JHSV will pro­vide high speed, shal­low draft trans­porta­tion capa­bil­i­ty to sup­port the intra-the­ater maneu­ver of per­son­nel, sup­plies and equip­ment for the Navy, Marine Corps, and Army. Work will be per­formed in Mobile, Ala., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics, Elec­tric Boat Corp., Gro­ton, Conn., is being award­ed a $45,598,001 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-07-C-4005) for non-nuclear main­te­nance and repair sup­port at the Naval Sub­ma­rine Sup­port Facil­i­ty, Naval Sub­ma­rine Base, New Lon­don, Conn. Under the terms of the con­tract Elec­tric Boat will con­tin­ue to pro­vide ser­vices required to sup­port planned and emer­gent non-nuclear main­te­nance and repair for oper­a­tional nuclear sub­marines, float­ing dry-docks, sup­port and ser­vice craft, and oth­er plat­forms and equip­ment. Work will be per­formed in New Lon­don, Conn., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $6,000,000 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton Navy Yard, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics, Elec­tric Boat Corp., Gro­ton, Conn., is being award­ed a $26,999,951 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-10-C-4302) for Nuclear Region­al Main­te­nance Depart­ment tasks in sup­port of oper­a­tional nuclear sub­marines at the Naval Sub­ma­rine Sup­port Facil­i­ty, Naval Sub­ma­rine Base, New Lon­don, Conn. Under the terms of the con­tract, Elec­tric Boat will con­tin­ue to pro­vide ser­vices required to sup­port planned and emer­gent nuclear main­te­nance and repair for oper­a­tional nuclear sub­marines. Work will be per­formed in New Lon­don, Conn., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $5,000,000 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton Navy Yard, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Siko­rsky Air­craft Corp., Strat­ford, Conn., is being award­ed a $17,668,830 firm-fixed-price mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract (N00019-07-D-0004) to exer­cise an option for the fis­cal 2011 VH-3D/VH-60N exec­u­tive heli­copter spe­cial pro­gres­sive air­craft rework effort. Work will be per­formed in Strat­ford, Conn., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $17,668,830 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

MIL Corp., Bowie, Md., is being award­ed $7,096,734 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract to pro­vide engi­neer­ing, tech­ni­cal and man­age­ment ser­vices in sup­port of the Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Division’s Inte­grat­ed Bat­tle­space Sim­u­la­tion and Test Divi­sion, which sup­ports the Navy’s research, devel­op­ment, test and eval­u­a­tion net­works. Work will be per­formed in Chi­na Lake, Calif. (55 per­cent), and Patux­ent Riv­er, Md. (45 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in April 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured under FAR 6.302–1. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00421-11-C-0013).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Safe Ports*, Charleston, S.C., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $29,950,614 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for mate­r­i­al dis­tri­b­u­tion ser­vices. Oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Defense Logis­tics Agency Dis­tri­b­u­tion Kan­da­har, Afghanistan. Using ser­vice is Defense Logis­tics Agency Dis­tri­b­u­tion. The orig­i­nal pro­pos­al was solicit­ed on the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site with eight respons­es. This con­tract has a one-year base and four one-year option peri­ods. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Oct. 11, 2015. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Dis­tri­b­u­tion, New Cum­ber­land, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SP3300-11-C-0001).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Co., Tuc­son, Ariz., was award­ed a $20,133,837 con­tract which will pro­vide for the next gen­er­a­tion guid­ance sec­tion to design and build a new guid­ance sec­tion test posi­tion. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. AAC/EBAC, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8675-10-C-0014; P00004). *Small business
