Boe­ing Co., Hunt­ing­ton Beach, Calif., was award­ed a $12,078,557 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will iden­ti­fy replace­ment parts for fam­i­ly of advanced beyond line of sight ter­mi­nals parts that are becom­ing obso­lete in the operator’s dis­plays and the data set man­ag­er and updat­ing the design to han­dle the new parts. Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Mari­et­ta, Ga., was award­ed an $8,204,325 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will pro­vide C‑5 large air­craft infrared coun­ter­mea­sures Group A hard­ware and kit assem­bly under Lot IV, nine kits. NAVY

Hon­ey­well Tech­nol­o­gy Solu­tions, Inc., Jack­sonville, Fla., is being award­ed a $74,100,277 mod­i­fi­ca­tion (P00012) under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-award-fee, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract (M67004-09-D-0020) to exer­cise Option Year Two for prepo­si­tion­ing and Marine Corps logis­tics sup­port ser­vices for Blount Island Com­mand. DRS Envi­ron­men­tal Sys­tems, Inc., Flo­rence, Ky., is being award­ed a $37,345,697 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of up to 60 ship­board and land­based vari­ant air con­di­tion­ers (SVAC/LVAC) which are state-of-the-art mobile, trail­er-mount­ed air con­di­tion­ers (AC) with the capa­bil­i­ty of sup­port­ing the EA-18G, F‑35, EA-6B, E‑2C/D , AV-8B and all vari­ants of the F‑18 mil­i­tary plat­forms. The ACs will be used to sup­ply con­di­tioned air to air­craft equip­ment and avion­ics com­part­ments dur­ing ground main­te­nance. The basic quan­ti­ty will con­sist of four each pilot pro­duc­tion SVAC units and four each pilot pro­duc­tion LVAC units and asso­ci­at­ed test­ing, tech­ni­cal and logis­tics data, and train­ing. Work will be per­formed in Flo­rence, Ky., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2015. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via elec­tron­ic request for pro­pos­al, with six offers received. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Lake­hurst, N.J., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N68335-10-D-0027).

The Boe­ing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being award­ed a $26,005,915 firm-fixed-price con­tract for the man­u­fac­ture, test and deliv­ery of 12, with an option of up to 35, AN/USM-702 recon­fig­urable trans­portable con­sol­i­dat­ed auto­mat­ed sup­port sys­tems (RTCASS), Part #3841AS0101-01. It also includes up to 22 self main­te­nance and test cal­i­bra­tion inter­face devices, and 26 mul­ti ana­log capa­bil­i­ty wiring kits. RTCASS is a stan­dard­ized auto­mat­ic test equip­ment sys­tem with com­put­er-assist­ed mul­ti-func­tion­al capa­bil­i­ties designed to test, diag­nose, trou­bleshoot and repair exist­ing and emerg­ing weapons replace­able assem­bly and shop replace­able assem­bly air­craft elec­tron­ic com­po­nents. The esti­mat­ed lev­el of effort for this con­tract is 5,000 man-hours, with a ceil­ing of 13,000 man-hours. Work will be per­formed in St. Louis, Mo. (58 per­cent); North Read­ing, Mass. (40 per­cent); and Still­wa­ter, Okla. (2 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds in the amount of $4,172,923 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This order com­bines pur­chas­es for the U.S. Navy ($19,871,029; 76 per­cent); U.S. Air Force ($4,172,923; 16 per­cent); and the gov­ern­ment of Fin­land ($1,961,964; 8 per­cent). Sure Fire, LLC, Foun­tain Val­ley, Calif., is being award­ed a $16,647,750 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for the vis­i­ble bright light heavy (VBL‑H) fire con­trol device for the M2HB .50 cal­iber machine gun. The VBL‑H is a fire con­trol device with an appli­ca­tion on heavy crew-served weapons plat­forms for low-light/low obser­va­tion sit­u­a­tions. Con­tract funds in the amount of $74,000 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site, with four offers received. Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Crane Divi­sion, Crane, Ind., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00164-10-D-JN66).
