Royal Navy, US Navy and NATO on the Afloat Support and Naval Logistics 2012 conference

Roy­al Navy join offi­cials from North Amer­i­ca and Europe to dis­cuss future afloat sup­port capa­bil­i­ties and naval logis­tics devel­op­ments

Senior mil­i­tary per­son­nel from the Roy­al Navy, US Navy and NATO will address how effec­tive afloat sup­port is crit­i­cal in sus­tain­ing future glob­al expe­di­tionary oper­a­tion at the Afloat Sup­port and Naval Logis­tics 2012 conference. 

Offi­cials from the Roy­al Navy, US Navy and NATO will gath­er in Lon­don in March to exam­ine the future of afloat sup­port tech­nolo­gies, sys­tems and oper­a­tions at the 7 th Annu­al Afloat Sup­port and Naval Logis­tics conference. 

Com­modore William Wal­worth, Com­modore of the Roy­al Fleet Aux­il­iary; Jonathan Kaskin SES, Direc­tor of Com­bat Logis­tics and Strate­gic Mobil­i­ty, Chief of Naval Oper­a­tions N4, US Navy and Com­man­der Visti Salomon­sen, Head of Logis­tics, Cur­rent Oper­a­tions (Naval), Roy­al Dan­ish Navy, will analyse the immense chal­lenges the afloat sup­port com­mu­ni­ty are cur­rent­ly fac­ing and the lat­est tech­nolo­gies and plat­forms that can increase afloat sup­port capabilities. 

Afloat Sup­port and Naval Logis­tics 2012 will incor­po­rates a ses­sion led by Rear Admi­ral (Junior Grade) Derek J. Chris­t­ian, Direc­tor of Naval Logis­tics, South Africa Navy on the future of afloat replen­ish­ment at sea and fleet capa­bil­i­ty in the South African Navy . Rear Admi­ral (Junior Grade) Derek J. Chris­t­ian will also join the speak­er pan­el at the Afloat Sup­port and Naval Logis­tics 2012 con­fer­ence. Now in its 7 th year, the event has extend­ed its scope to demon­strate busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties in emerg­ing market.
