WASHINGTON — Iraqi security forces, with U.S. advisors, have arrested three suspected criminal associates of terrorist groups operating in Iraq, military officials said.
Iraqi forces arrested a suspected associate of the Kataib Hezballah terrorist network today during a combined security operation in Baghdad.
Iraqi forces and their U.S. advisors searched a building with a court warrant for a member of the group suspected in attacks against Iraqi and U.S. forces. Information and evidence gathered at the scene led them to identify and arrest a suspected associate of the wanted man.
On Aug. 4, Iraqi forces arrested two suspected al-Qaida in Iraq criminal associates near Tikrit.
Iraqi forces, working with U.S. advisors, searched several buildings with a court warrant for a suspected al_Qaida in Iraq leader responsible for bombing attacks against Iraqi and U.S. forces. Information and evidence gathered at the scene led Iraqi forces to identify and arrest two suspects.
