BAGHDAD, June 15, 2010 — Iraqi security forces arrested two suspected al-Qaida in Iraq criminal associates during a combined operation northeast of the Iraqi capital today, military officials said.
Iraqi forces and U.S. advisors searched multiple buildings for a suspected al-Qaida in Iraq member who allegedly is involved in planning and executing vehicle-borne bombing attacks.
Information and evidence gathered at the scene led Iraqi forces to identify and arrest two suspected criminal associates of the wanted man, officials said.
