WASHINGTON, July 1, 2010 — Iraqi security forces working with U.S. advisors arrested three terrorism suspects in recent operations in Iraq, military officials reported.
Southwest of Kirkuk today, Iraqi forces arrested a suspected al-Qaida in Iraq member believed to be in charge of facilitating the movement, procurement, and construction of vehicles for use as vehicle-borne bombs.
Iraqi forces arrested two suspected al-Qaida in Iraq criminal associates yesterday in southwestern Baghdad. They allegedly are involved with an al-Qaida in Iraq member responsible for in facilitation of roadside-bomb attacks.
