WASHINGTON, April 27, 2010 — Iraqi forces working with U.S. advisors arrested 11 terrorism suspects in combined operations yesterday and today in Iraq, military officials reported.
A suspected al-Qaida in Iraq leader who is suspected of being involved in assassinations and bank robberies in the Mansour area was arrested today west of Baghdad, along with a suspected associate.
In Baghdad and Baqouba yesterday, Iraqi forces arrested a suspected al-Qaida in Iraq member believed to be responsible for roadside-bomb attacks, as well as eight suspected associates, during combined operations with U.S. advisors.
