EU/Türkei — Statement on terrorist attacks in Turkey

State­ment by the Spokesper­son of High Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Cather­ine Ash­ton on ter­ror­ist attacks in Turkey
The spokesper­son of High Rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the Union for For­eign Affairs and Secu­ri­ty Policy/Vice Pres­i­dent of the Com­mis­sion Cather­ine Ash­ton issued a fol­low­ing state­ment today:

“The High Rep­re­sen­ta­tive for For­eign Affairs and Secu­ri­ty Pol­i­cy strong­ly con­demns a series of recent ter­ror­ist attacks in Turkey that claimed lives of a num­ber of Turk­ish sol­diers, mil­i­tary per­son­nel and inno­cent civil­ians and have left many injured. There is no jus­ti­fi­ca­tion for such ter­ror­ist attacks. High Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Cather­ine Ash­ton express­es her deep sym­pa­thy and sol­i­dar­i­ty to the fam­i­lies of the vic­tims and to the gov­ern­ment and the peo­ple of Turkey.”
