USAUS Military contracts for FY12

NAVY

Envi­ron­men­tal Chem­i­cal Corp., Marl­bor­ough, Mass., is being award­ed a $38,428,200 firm-fixed-price con­tract for ener­gy and build­ing ren­o­va­tion to the West End Water­front Sup­port Facil­i­ty, Build­ing 174 at Portsmouth Naval Ship­yard. The over­all intent of the project is to demol­ish the inte­ri­or of the facil­i­ty, in a phased approach, that will leave the struc­tur­al ele­ments, exte­ri­or walls, and roof in place, with all remain­ing ele­ments replaced in total. Work will be per­formed in Kit­tery, Maine, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2014. Con­tract funds in the amount of $38,428,200 are oblig­at­ed on this award and will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via the Navy Elec­tron­ic Com­merce Online web­site, with nine pro­pos­als received. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, Mid-Atlantic North­east Inte­grat­ed Prod­uct Team, Nor­folk, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N40085-12-C-1727).

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Nation­al Steel and Ship­build­ing Co., San Diego, Calif., is being award­ed a $29,238,918 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-12-C-2400) for the post shake­down avail­abil­i­ty of USS San Diego (LPD 22) and the fit­ting-out avail­abil­i­ty of USS Anchor­age (LPD 23). Spe­cif­ic efforts include pro­gram man­age­ment, plan­ning, engi­neer­ing, design, liai­son, sched­ul­ing, labor, and pro­cure­ment of inci­den­tal mate­r­i­al in sup­port of the post shake­down avail­abil­i­ty and fit­ting-out avail­abil­i­ty. Work will be per­formed in San Diego, Calif. and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2014. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

GEM Com­pa­nies, Inc., doing busi­ness as GEM Net­work Solu­tions, Den­ver, Colo., was award­ed on March 15 a firm-fixed-price indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract with a ceil­ing of $24,400,000 for the Defense Infor­ma­tion Sys­tems Agency/Enterprise Ser­vices Direc­torate facil­i­ties engi­neer­ing sup­port ser­vices. The peri­od of per­for­mance is a base peri­od of April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013 with four one-year options. The first deliv­ery order oblig­at­ing the min­i­mum in the amount of $2,257,200 will be issued with the award. Per­for­mance will be at Defense Enter­prise Com­put­ing Cen­ter loca­tions in and out­side the Unit­ed States. The orig­i­nal solic­i­ta­tion was issued as a com­pet­i­tive small busi­ness set-aside and post­ed to the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site. A total of four pro­pos­als were received. The Defense Infor­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy Con­tract­ing Organization/PL8324, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (HC1028-12-D-0004).
