USAUS Military contracts for FY11

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY

The Mis­sile Defense Agency is announc­ing the award of a cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion, option exer­cise, under con­tract HQ0147-09-C-0007 to The Boe­ing Co., Huntsville, Ala. The total val­ue of this con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion is $36,670,439, increas­ing the total con­tract val­ue to $696,947,325. Under this con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion, the con­trac­tor will man­age the Ground-based Mid­course (GMD) Defense Weapon Sys­tem sus­tain­ment and oper­a­tions sup­port to include sys­tem sus­tain­ment, train­ing, and oper­a­tions sup­port of the GMD mis­sion assets. The work will be per­formed in Fort Greely, Alas­ka, and Col­orado Springs, Colo. The per­for­mance peri­od is from Sept. 1 through Nov. 30, 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The MDA, Huntsville, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Sun­ny­vale, Calif., is mod­i­fy­ing a $24,509,183 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for a con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion of the exist­ing engi­neer­ing, man­u­fac­tur­ing and devel­op­ment con­tract for the Space Based Infrared Sys­tem (SBIRS) high com­po­nent. This fis­cal 2011 con­tract action will incor­po­rate both hard­ware and soft­ware mod­i­fi­ca­tions which pro­vide the ground­work for the over­all SBIRS Survivable/Endurable Evo­lu­tion (S2E2) pro­gram upgrade for fis­cal 2012 and beyond. The con­trac­tor will per­form a fis­cal 2011 anten­na plat­form sub­sys­tems ven­dor selec­tion and pro­vide sus­tain­ment sup­port to the SBIRS pro­gram with a mobile ground sys­tem sec­ond path radio upgrade and S2E2 fis­cal 2011 engi­neer­ing and labs devel­op­ment. Work will be per­formed in Boul­der, Colo., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Decem­ber 2012. The Space and Mis­sile Sys­tems Cen­ter, Los Ange­les Air Force Base, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (F04701-95–0017).

Accen­ture Fed­er­al Ser­vices, L.L.C., Reston, Va., is mod­i­fy­ing a $7,081,501 firm-fixed-price con­tract for the Defense Enter­prise Account­ing Man­age­ment Sys­tem which pro­vides a sys­tem designed to allow U.S. Trans­porta­tion Com­mand, Air Mobil­i­ty Com­mand, Defense Finance and Account­ing Ser­vice, and the Air Force the abil­i­ty to reduce and ulti­mate­ly elim­i­nate reliance of lega­cy stove-piped sys­tems. This mod­i­fi­ca­tion is being issued to con­tin­ue the post pro­duc­tion sup­port of the cur­rent con­tract to allow the sys­tem inte­gra­tor to achieve sys­tem sta­bi­liza­tion. Work will be per­formed at Reston, Va., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Octo­ber 2011. ESC/HIQK, Wright-Pat­ter­son, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8770-06-F-8001).

NAVY

BAE Sys­tems Tac­ti­cal Vehi­cle Sys­tems, L.L.P., Sealy, Texas, is being award­ed a $10,198,021 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty deliv­ery order #0011 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5030) for the pro­cure­ment of field ser­vice rep­re­sen­ta­tive mechan­ics to pro­vide vehi­cle main­te­nance sup­port for Oper­a­tion Endur­ing Free­dom. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Dec. 31, 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Inte­vac Pho­ton­ics, Inc.*, San­ta Clara, Calif., is being award­ed a $9,596,806 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for research and devel­op­ment that will improve and char­ac­ter­ize the per­for­mance of the ISIE4000 elec­tron bom­bard­ed active pix­el sen­sor night vision cam­era in sup­port of var­i­ous Navy air­craft plat­forms. Work will be per­formed in San­ta Clara, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in July 2016. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via Broad Agency Announce­ment, with one offer received. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00421-11-D-0034).
