Orders made by the Judge Advocate
Orders pertaining to the Pre-Trial Directions Hearing for two Australian Defence Force members facing charges before a General Court Martial were issued by the Judge Advocate General on Tuesday, 29 March 2011 at Defence Plaza Sydney, 270 Pitt Street, Sydney.
Orders by Judge Advocate
I order:
1. Until such time as the matter is considered by the president of the court martial, any matter which is likely to lead to the identification of the accused men is not to be reported by those in the court and that in all hearings in the proceedings that are open to the public the accused men are to be referred to by the following pseudonyms:
in the case of the first defendant as SGT J.
in the case of the second defendant as LCPL D.
2. Until such time as the matter is considered by the president of the court martial that there be no publication of that material forming Exhibit 2, on the application of 28 March 2011 other than to the parties and the Commonwealth and their respective legal representatives.
A breach of an order is a punishable offence.
