USAUS Military contracts for FY11

ARMY

Prag­mat­ics, Inc., McLean, Va., was award­ed on Jan. 10 a $51,860,717 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide tech­nol­o­gy sup­plies and ser­vices for the Class­room XXI Enter­prise Class­room Pro­gram. Work will be per­formed in Fort Ben­ning, Ga.; Fort Bliss, Texas; Fort Camp­bell, Ky.; Fort Drum, N.Y.; Fort Gor­don, Ga.; Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Huachu­ca, Ariz.; Fort Jack­son, S.C.; Fort Leav­en­worth, Kan.; Fort Lee, Va.; Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; Fort Lewis, Wash.; Fort McNair, Wash­ing­ton, D.C.; Fort Ruck­er, Ala.; Fort Sill, Okla.; Fort Bragg, N.C.; and Fort Stew­art, Ga.; with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Sep. 29, 2012. Six­teen bids were solicit­ed with three bids received. The U.S. Army Mis­sion and Instal­la­tion Con­tract Com­mand Cen­ter, Fort Eustis, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91QUZ-07-D-0002).

Gar­goyles, Inc., West­min­ster, Md., was award­ed on Jan. 10 an $11,115,156 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for trans­porta­tion ser­vices in Iraq, includ­ing rou­tine main­te­nance, emer­gency repairs, wash­ing, dis­patch­ing and tow­ing ser­vices. Work will be per­formed in Bagh­dad, Iraq, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 9, 2011. Three bids were solicit­ed with two bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Mid­dle East Dis­trict, Win­ches­ter, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912ER-11-C-0012).

Leonie Indus­tries, LLC, Pacif­ic Pal­isades, Calif., was award­ed on Jan. 7 a $10,353,285 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for media and mar­ket­ing sup­port ser­vices through­out Afghanistan. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 5, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Rock Island Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Rock Island, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W52P1J-09-D-0053).

Healtheon, Inc., New Orleans, La., was award­ed on Jan. 10 a $6,994,305 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for a pump­ing sta­tion, tem­po­rary retain­ing struc­tures, lev­ee embank­ment, dis­charge pip­ing, back fill and access roads. Work will be per­formed in Wagga­man, La., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 21, 2011. Eleven bids were solicit­ed with four bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, New Orleans Dis­trict, New Orleans, La., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912P8-09-D-0043).

NAVY

The Con­sult­ing Net­work, Inc.*, Mid­dle­town, Md., is being award­ed a $16,337,190 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-08-C-6264) to exer­cise an option for required ser­vices to include soft­ware and hard­ware devel­op­ment, sys­tems engi­neer­ing and pro­cure­ment of com­mer­cial off-the-shelf prod­ucts and hardware/software inte­gra­tion, in sup­port of Vir­ginia-class sub­marines and oth­er submarine/surface ship sys­tems. The ser­vices pro­vid­ed are for the con­tin­ued engi­neer­ing, fab­ri­ca­tion, test, instal­la­tion, and train­ing ser­vices for the analy­sis, design and, pro­to­typ­ing of com­po­nents relat­ed to open archi­tec­ture con­cepts. This effort is for Phase III of a Small Busi­ness Inno­v­a­tive Research, top­ic num­ber N01-150, “Open Archi­tec­ture Con­cepts.” These ser­vices will be ren­dered as need­ed to sup­port the Navy’s ini­tia­tive for an improved capa­bil­i­ty for both lega­cy and future vari­ants of Navy sys­tems in com­pli­ance with evolv­ing FORCEnet and Glob­al Infor­ma­tion Grid require­ments. Work will be per­formed at Mid­dle­town, Md., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics NASSCO, San Diego, Calif., is being award­ed a $9,250,951 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-06-C-4402) for the USS Pearl Har­bor (LSD 52) fis­cal 2011 phased main­te­nance avail­abil­i­ty. A phased main­te­nance avail­abil­i­ty pro­vides for an exten­sive ren­o­va­tion and mod­ern­iza­tion of a dock land­ing ship, includ­ing alter­ations and repairs as well as inspec­tion and test­ing to all ships sys­tems and com­po­nents ensur­ing safe and depend­able oper­a­tion of the ship. Work will be per­formed in San Diego, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by May 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $9,250,951 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The South­west Region­al Main­te­nance Cen­ter, San Diego, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Senn Broth­ers*, West Colum­bia, S.C., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $15,157,080 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, total set-aside con­tract for full line fresh fruit and veg­eta­bles sup­port. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. The orig­i­nal pro­pos­al was Web-solicit­ed with two respons­es. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is July 11, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM300-11-D-P088).

Coast Pro­duce*, Los Ange­les, Calif., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $10,246,545 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, total set-aside, indef­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for fresh fruit and veg­eta­bles sup­port. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Depart­ment of Agri­cul­ture school cus­tomers. The orig­i­nal pro­pos­al was solicit­ed via the Defense Logis­tics Agency Inter­net Bid Board Sys­tem with six respons­es. This con­tract is exer­cis­ing the sec­ond option year. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is July 31, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM300-08-D-P020).

Sham­rock Foods, Com­merce City, Colo., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $9,457,010 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for full line food dis­tri­b­u­tion sup­port. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Air Force and Marine Corps. There were orig­i­nal­ly eight pro­pos­als solicit­ed with five respons­es. This con­tract is exer­cis­ing the fourth one-year option peri­od. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Jan. 14, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM300-08-D-3219).
