NAVY

Northrop Grum­man Ship­build­ing — New­port News, New­port News, Va., is being award­ed a $67,145,839 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion (62793–07-C-0001) for con­tin­u­a­tion of fis­cal 2011 advance plan­ning efforts to pre­pare and make ready for the defu­el­ing and inac­ti­va­tion of the USS Enter­prise (CVN 65) and its reac­tor plants. This effort will pro­vide for all advanced plan­ning, shipchecks, design, doc­u­men­ta­tion, engi­neer­ing, pro­cure­ment, fab­ri­ca­tion and pre­lim­i­nary ship­yard or sup­port facil­i­ty work. Work will be per­formed in New­port News, Va., and is expect­ed to com­plete by Sept. 30, 2011. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. The Super­vi­sor of Ship­build­ing Con­ver­sion and Repair, New­port News, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty.

Northrop Grum­man Elec­tron­ic Sys­tems — Marine Sys­tems, Sun­ny­vale, Calif., is being award­ed a $50,411,925 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incen­tive-fee con­tract for Unit­ed States/United King­dom fis­cal 2011 under­wa­ter launch­er sys­tem sup­port. This con­tract con­tains options which, if exer­cised, will bring the total con­tract amount to $63,102,296. Work will be per­formed in Sun­ny­vale, Calif. (82 per­cent); Ban­gor, Wash. (8 per­cent); Kings Bay, Ga. (8 per­cent); Bre­mer­ton, Wash. (1 per­cent); and Nor­folk, Va. (1 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Aug. 31, 2013. Con­tract funds in the amount of $46,293,697 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. Navy Strate­gic Sys­tems Pro­grams, Arling­ton, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00030-11-C-0004).

AIR FORCE

Rock­well Collins, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was award­ed a max­i­mum $9,000,000 fol­low-on con­tract for avion­ics sus­tain­ing engi­neer­ing ser­vices for the C/KC-135 series air­craft fleet. At this time, noth­ing has been oblig­at­ed. OO-ALC/GKCK, Tin­ker Air Force Base, Okla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8105-11-D-0001). ARMY

GM GDLS Defense Group, LLC, Ster­ling Heights, Mich., was award­ed on Oct. 22 a $8,340,249 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This con­tract action cuts the mod­i­fied hull design (double‑v hull) into the pro­duc­tion of an addi­tion­al 46 Stryk­er vehi­cles. The double‑v hull is an inte­grat­ed solu­tion that pro­vides improved pro­tec­tion lev­els to sup­port oper­a­tions in the Oper­a­tion Endur­ing Free­dom area of respon­si­bil­i­ty. Work is to be per­formed in Lon­don, Cana­da (50 per­cent), and Annis­ton, Ala. (50 per­cent), with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 29, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. TACOM, CCTA-AIP, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-07-D-M112).
